Shopping at Prudential Center and Faneuil Hall Marketplace

What is there to do when we are all done with touring all the historical and cultural spots in Boston? Is it time to head home? Are we done with exploring Boston? No, this is not how we end the charter bus Boston trip. The one other thing that Bostonians are proud of is - the sheer number of shopping malls. Sometimes, we think that shopping in Boston and Cambridge is an event on its own. Upscale boutiques, eccentric malls, quaint retail outlets, clothing stores along Newbury Street, Copley Place and of course, we can’t leave out mentioning the awesome shops at Prudential Center in Back Bay. We think you are going to have just as amazing time at Harvard Square and Kittery Outlets as well. Just mentioning them is making our wallets itch a little, admittedly.

The shops at Prudential Center is a great place to start mainly because it is right smack in the middle of everything. Whatever it is you are looking for, you will find it here, we are quite sure about that. We love the unique shops including something like Vineyard Vines. All under one roof, you can spend quite literally the whole day at the mall doing from clothing store to electronics, computers, restaurants, food, burger and then end it all with a round of drinks at one of the bars. Quite literally, you have a world of consumerism under one roof. And the great thing is that you can’t get lost around here and if you are not using a charter bus Boston vehicle to get here, the strip of malls is located near subway stations and bus stops. Easy to get in and out.

Everyone knows that Boston’s got one of the most gorgeous and historical waterfront in the whole of America....and what better place to hit when you are in need of retail therapy than Faneuil Hall Marketplace. What is different about shopping at Prudential Center is that you get all the right brand names under one roof. The feeling is elite and exclusive. At Faneuil, the atmosphere is swung in the opposite direction. Wide open spaces, friendly people, breath-taking waterfront and 19th Century building - The Cradle of Liberty, the building has been called since it was constructed in 1742. There is a sense of festivity here, all year round as more than seventy retailers make their way doing business, shoppers have the more than two hundred thousand square feet of space to relax, do some slow shopping and ending it at sundown at the waterfront.

Where Blue Man Rules

If you and your friends are looking for something different over this weekend, making a trip in a Boston charter bus to watch the Blue Man Group at Charles Playhouse in Boston would be an excellent idea. Charles Playhouse is owned and operated by Broadway and it has been the home for the Blue Man Group since 1995, which means that they totally fit right in to be performing there for so long already and from the many reviews that we have read and heard of, they are really that good too. They do have shows in other cities too, but if you are in Boston this weekend and want to do something different in the evening, this is the place to go.

What Blue Man Group does is that they put music, technology and comedy to come up with a different and unique form of entertainment that you will not be able to put in into any kind of category. You can say that it is techno, yet it’s funky, with a little hip hop and madness. There have been many great comments from Boston charter bus visitors whenever they come here for the fabulous entertainment by the Blue Man Group. It is not surprising at all for the bus driver to see the passengers come out with smiles and laughter as they climb aboard the bus to go home and hear them rave about how great the performance was.

Sometimes, if not most of the time, what makes a show great also depends very much on the participation from the crowd. With the Blue Man Group, it is no different too. At times when the crowd is not so responsive or “cold”, one would think that the performance was a bad one. The best way to approach watching the Blue Man Group would be to go there with no expectation whatsoever yet you get yourself mentally prepared to be thrilled with their performance. But if you like fast paced, loud music and colorful lights with perfect percussion, this is one show you and your friends would not want to miss out. You and your friends can also opt to dine somewhere nearby before you have the Boston charter bus driver send all of you to the location for your night of great entertainment and fun. In fact, after the show, you and your friends can always go for some drinks before you head home. That is the privilege of having the service of a Boston charter bus company.

Old North Church, Boston

One if by land, two if by sea – this is a famous quote that many would know and if you have never been to the Old North Church in Boston, you should really make time to do so. And since you would want to bring your family along with you on this trip, it would be a fantastic idea to charter a Boston bus to bring everyone there.

When planning a visit to the Old North Church in a chartered Boston bus, you need to know that there are two different types of tours that are available for visitors. One of it is the “Freedom Trail Drop-In” and just as the name suggests, visitors are welcome to “drop in” during their regular visiting hours and explore the Old North Church and reservations are not required for this tour. You will get to enjoy a short presentation by the staff on duty on the history of the church as well as the role that the Old North Church played in the American Revolution and view the historical exhibits.

The other kind of tour that is available for visitors is the “Behind the Scenes Tour” which we would suggest that you should take up. Upon arriving at the grounds of the Old North Church in your Boston chartered bus, you will be taken for a thirty minute guided tour with access to two areas of the church that is only available with this tour – the Bell Ringing Chamber and The Crypt. The Bell Ringing Chamber is where Paul Revere (in his teenage years) worked as a bell ringer in the church. In its 270 year old of history, the structure of the steeple has twice been damaged by hurricanes. While you are there in the steeple, you can also talk to the current bell ringers (if they happen to be there during the tour) about their work and experience. After the visit to the Bell Ringing Chamber, you will then move on to check out The Crypt, which keeps 37 tombs that’s been constructed below the floors of the Old North Church and inside you will be able to see the artifacts and listen to the history from your tour guide on those who are buried in there. After the guided tour, you can still walk around the Old North Church on your own and enjoy the beautiful and serene surroundings – they have a beautiful 18th century-themed garden for the enjoyment of visitors.

Before you leave the Old North Church in the Boston chartered bus, you can always drop by the Old North Church Museum and Gift Shop that’s also known as the St. Francis of Assisi Garden, which was built back then to accommodate the Italian immigrants who was part of the Waldensian Reform movement.

A Romantic Dinner Date On High Above the Skywalk Observatory

How would you like to experience dinner close to the stars in the sky? Well, we are not talking about an open field picnic type of dinner – what we are really trying to suggest is booking a dinner on the 52nd floor of the Skywalk Observatory and bringing your date for a romantic dinner atop one of the highest building in Boston and don’t forget to charter a bus to take you and your date to the lovely restaurant too!

As the one and only observatory in New England, the Skywalk Observatory is located on the 50th of the Prudential Center and the Top of the Hub restaurant is located on the 52nd floor. When you arrive at the Prudential Center in your Boston chartered bus, do remember to let your Boston chartered bus driver know what time to pick you up – you may want to spend at least a couple of hours visiting the Skywalk Observatory before you go up higher for dinner with your date.

The Skywalk Observatory provides an almost eagle’s eye view of Greater Boston and beyond. It is open daily but if you wish to have dinner at the Top of the Hub restaurant, you will need to make prior reservations, so be sure to do so before you make your way there to avoid disappointment. This is due to the reason that the restaurant is sometimes booked for Boston charter bus private functions and will not serve walk in guests during such times.

Other than giving guests a sky-high viewpoint of the city, the Skywalk Observatory is also a place for special events such as weddings, cocktail receptions and corporate gala dinners. While the Top of the Hub restaurant can only cater to about a maximum of sixty guests at any one time, the Skywalk Observatory can cater up to six hundred guests for a sit down dinner or up to a thousand people for cocktail parties.

As mentioned earlier, the Skywalk Observatory is open daily, and from now until October 31, it is open from 10am till 10pm with the last elevator leaving at 9.30pm, while in the winter, they are open only from 10am till 8pm daily. Give yourself at least a couple of hours to enjoy the bus charter Boston tour around the observatory and enjoy the beautiful sky high view before proceeding to dinner, so that you do not have to rush through your tour or rush through dinner in order to get back on your waiting chartered bus to go home.
